Happy 2021! If you’re like me, you’re probably very excited about leaving 2020 in the past….and really looking forward to the new year.
Usually each year, I create a list of “resolutions” but like most people, I rarely stick to them. Instead, I just had one word keep playing in my head over and over.
Coming out of college and going straight into quarantine, I was pretty much forced to slow down and take my time with things. Throughout school, I was always doing the most, all the time. I was constantly burnt out, and always feeling like time was passing me by. I was working so hard, but didn’t have time to truly enjoy life.
That’s why my goal for this year, is to be more intentional.
-Who I spend my time with
-The work that I’m doing
-Making time for what brings me happiness
To me, this mainly looks like spending more time alone or few only my close circle. I’m very introverted, so spending time in large group settings leaves me exhausted and is more for other people than myself.
This also means being more organized with my newly found abundance of time, and creating a calendar I can stick to.
In order to be more intentional with my life, I decided it would be best to make a vision board for the new year. I put on it everything I knew was going to happen (my wedding, honeymoon etc.) and then some goals I hoped would happen (save money, launch products, etc.)
I actually made a whole Youtube video explaining my vision board, how I made it, and all my goals for the new year! You can click here to watch it.
What are your goals or word for the new year?
